Wah gwaan KINGS and QUEENS!!
Smoothie bowls are more than just a straw-spoon switch. It is a more relaxed, sit down version of the traditional on-the-go smoothie. It gives you a chance to become more creative by adding toppings, texture and flavour combinations. Remember be careful because you do not want to create calorie and fat nutrition bomb so stick to portion size.
One difference between straw versus spoon smoothies is the thickness of the smoothie. Smoothie bowls are supposed to be thicker than your average smoothie- you do not want all your toppings sinking to the bottom! In the smoothie bowl version, the liquid included in the recipe is there to help with the blending process. So to start changing your favourite smoothie to a smoothie bowl by adding less liquid.

The acai berry is an inch-long, reddish-purple fruit. It comes from the acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America.
Some studies show that acai fruit pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries.
SMOOTHIE:
1 frozen unsweetened acai pack (such as Sambazon) or 2tbsp of acai powder
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup mixed frozen berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
1/3 cup plain unsweetened almond milk
TOPPINGS:
1 tablespoon granola
1/2 sliced peeled kiwifruit
1/2 banana, sliced
2 tablespoons fresh blueberries
1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the frozen banana, mixed berries, and a drizzle of the almond milk, and begin to blend.
Drizzle the acai powder and the remaining almond milk and process until you have reached the desired consistency.
Pour the mixture into a bowl, and sprinkle on the toppings.
TIP:
Place a bowl in the freezer the night before, and then serve the smoothie in the chilled bowl. This helps prevent it from melting too quickly.
