5 Healthy Green Smoothie Recipes

There is always something about green smoothies that makes me feel healthier right after drinking it lol. Does anyone else has that same experience? Drop it in the comments.

So for these green smoothie recipes below, I will be coming back with an updated blog post.

The Tropical Jungle Smoothie I tried this for breakfast and man!!, let me tell you it was so yummy my stomach started to dance instantly. I could taste the burst of flavours that delighted my tummy. The banana and spinach said SI MI YAH!! It's funny though because spinach is usually subtle. Then the pineapple gave it a sweet taste which was perfect for all the sweet tooth out there haha...

Tropical Jungle Smoothie

If you ( or your kids) don't like green smoothies, try this version. The pineapple, apple and banana cover up the taste of the spinach, which is loaded with potassium, iron and calcium.

1&1/2 cups of almond milk

2 cups spinach

1 banana

1/2 cup of pineapple

1/2 cup of apple

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve 2

Sweet Green Pina Colada

This beach-time classic is infused with some next-level green magic with the addition of spinach and moringa powder, which is filled with iron and B vitamins.

1/3 cup coconut milk

2/3 cup pineapple juice

1&1/2 frozen bananas

1 cup spinach

1 tsp moringa powder (optional)

1 date

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2

Green Mango-Orange Smoothie

Kids won't taste spinach in this smoothie-the sweet, tropical flavours shine through. By using an orange (rather than orange juice) the drink has more fiber, antioxidants and vitamin C.

1 cup spinach (tightly packed)

2 peeled oranges

1 cup frozen mango or pineapple

Put all ingredients, plus 1 cup water, in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve 2

TIP

Replace the water with unsweetened coconut water for a boost of potassium.

Mint Green

Mint eases digestion, reduces inflammation and raises energy levels. This smoothie is wonderful year-round, but especially in summer, when the mint helps cool your body.

1&1/2 cup almond milk

4 celery stalks

1 cucumber

1 medium apple

1/2 lime

3 sprigs mint

Wash and chop celery, cucumber, apple, lime and mint. Place it in the blender and blend until smooth.

TIP

You can turn this into a juice by eliminating the almond milk. Then process through juicer. Serve 2

Thai Vibe

This refreshing green smoothie features the powerful cleansing benefits of cilantro, ginger and lime. Enjoy it when you want to cool down or improve digestion.

1&1/2 cup almond milk

1 cucumber

2 medium apples

1/4 lime

1/4 bunch cilantro

1-inch piece fresh ginger (optional)

Wash and chop cucumber, apples, lime, cilantro and ginger. place into blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2
