MANGO SMOOTHIE| Mango, Ginger, Strawberry Smoothie

Wah gwaan QUEENS and KINGS today I will be sharing a very refreshing, nutritious, kids friendly smoothie. This smoothie is so good your taste buds will thank you! I used coconut water as the base ingredient to blend the smoothie. I love me some coconut water I do not play when it comes to my coconut water. In Jamaica whenever someone picks a coconut you will hear them say "time fi mi wash off mi heart" which is one out of many benefits of coconut water. This smoothie also has crystalized ginger which is coated in a dusting of sugar, which adds a little sweetness to this smoothie. You can substitute fresh grated ginger if you would like, but you may want to add a little bit more honey to the smoothie. Taste it and adjust as your taste buds deem necessary.

RECIPE

1 cup chopped mango

1 cup hulled strawberries

3/4 cup crushed ice

1/2 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt

1/4 cup cold water

2 teaspoons minced crystallized ginger

2 teaspoons honey


INSTRUCTION

Place all ingredients in a blender; process until smooth.

Serve immediately.
