8 Tasty Fruit Smoothie

So for quite a while now a few of my lovely subscribers has been requesting fruit smoothies, and what better way to reward you all. I smashed some tasty fruit smoothie out of the way for yall so you can fill the sweet tooth and be happy.

Most of these fruits are my favourite, powered with some healthy seeds, nuts and natural sweeteners.


 

CHI-GOJI-LICIOUS

Besides vitamin C, goji berries add a helping of fiber to this sweet-tart smoothie.


1 cup nondairy milk

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen raspberries

1 Tbsp. chia seeds

1 Tbsp. goji berries

2 dates

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2


Superberry Dream

Bananas and berries get a superfood boost from acai powder and goji berries, both high in calcium and antioxidants that neutralizes the damaging effects of free radicals throughout the body.


1 cup nondairy milk

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1 Tbsp goji berries

1 tsp acai powder

2 dates

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2


Pineapple-Peach Smoothie

This fruity smoothie is like sunshine in a glass. Beside containing a significant dose of vitamin C, the pineapple has bromelain, an enzyme that helps with digestion.


4 cups chopped fresh pineapple

2 cups frozen peaches

1/2 cup orange juice

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 4


Orange-Raspberry Smoothie

This is the tastiest way to get your day's requirement of vitamin C, which is essential for the growth and repair of all body tissues.


2 cups nondairy milk

1/2 cup orange juice

1 cup raspberries

2 Tbsp honey

Put all ingredients in a blender along with 6 ice cubes and blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and garnish with berries. Serve 4


Orange Dreamsicle

This flavour will remind you of summer popsicles. The orange juice and camu-a tart, cherry-like super berry from the Amazon- pack it with vitamin C to boost your immune system.


1/2 cup orange juice

1/2 cup coconut milk

1&1/2 frozen bananas

1/4 cup raw cashew pieces

1 tsp camu camu powder (optional)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

2 dates

Put all the ingredients in a blender with several pieces of ice; blend until smooth. Serves 2


Blueberry-Banana Smoothie

Yogurt adds a tang and thickness to this fruity smoothie. If you're avoiding dairy, look for one of the nondairy yogurts available at health food stores.


2 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced

2 cups frozen blueberries

1 cup plain yogurt

1 cup nondairy milk

1/4 cup raw almonds

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 4


Berry Melon Bliss

Cantaloupe has anti-inflammatory properties and is high in vitamins A and C, both vital to a strong immune system.


1 cup nondairy milk

1/2 cup frozen cantaloupe

1 cup frozen strawberries

2 dates

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2


Cherry Berry Blast

Strawberries have high levels of heart-healthy antioxidants and can help lower the risk of cardiovascular disease.


1 cup almond milk

1/2 cup apple juice

1/2 cup frozen cherries

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serves 2
