I personally love nut and seed butters because it is a easy way to add protein to your smoothies or shakes, healthy fats, provide rich flavour as well as they blend smoothly.
This grainy, thick butter with brown specks is naturally sweet and fruity. Even though it has a unique flavour, hazelnut butter pairs well with other ingredients such as chocolate. apples and pears.
This classic butter can be used as star or part of a winning flavour combination because of it's assertive flavour.
SUNFLOWER SEED BUTTER
An alternative for people with peanut and tree-nut allergies, sunflower seed butter has a rich taste. Use it when you want a hit of flavour.
CASHEW BUTTER Cashew butter has a luscious texture with a buttery sweet taste. It pairs nicely with tropical fruits, ginger and coconuts.
ALMOND BUTTER
Mild and sweet, almond butter won't overwhelm other ingredients.
PECAN BUTTER
Pecan butter has a rich, hearty flavour. Pecan skin gives the butter a slightly bitter aftertaste, so pair it with sweet ingredients.
TAHINI (SESAME SEED BUTTER)
Made from ground sesame seeds, tahini is another option for people who have tree nut allergies. Look for tahini made with toasted sesame seeds for stronger flavour.
MACADAMIA BUTTER
Buttery tasting and mild, this nut butter is fairly thin because of the high amount of healthy fats in the nuts. Chill it to keep it thick.
